Current IP addresses about to run out At the current rate, IP addresses will round out in 2010. Current IP addresses are based on the IPv4 standard which has the form of 4 numbers ranging from 0 to 255 (ex. 192.168.0.1). obviously, there is a limited amount of combinations with this scheme, and we are running out in 2010.
